Greetings Eagle Family! Now that UIL is behind us, we are gearing up for all of the exciting new things that are happening in the Atascocita High School Band program. There are not much new updates from last week, except here are the list of things that are happening this month:

List of Events For the Month of April:

• April 7: Leadership Applications Open, Evaluation Music Released
• April 14: Texas Roadhouse Spirit Night! And Bake Sale
• *April 16: Drum Major Information Meeting after school (*rescheduled to Wednesday)
• April 17: Leadership Applications Due
• April 18: No School
• April 21: Leadership interviews begin this week
• April 21: Band Booster Meeting, 7PM at AHS Band Hall
• April 23: Band Banquet, Kingwood Country Club
• April 23: Letter Jacket Fitting (during lunch, for those who qualified)
• April 24: AMB Orientation, 7PM at AHS Cafeteria
• April 28: HS Class Placement Evaluations for AHS Students
• April 29: AHS Percussion Concert at AHS Band Hall

For this week, the following items are still open. All students will need to attend registration and evaluate for classes. Leadership applications are still open, drum major informational meeting will be after school this Wednesday. There is still time to sign up for jazz band and applied music.

• Evaluation music is available to all students for class placement evaluations! Students should have already had music printed out. In case they need it or need information on how it works:

• Leadership Team applications are still open for students to apply.

• Drum Major Tryouts will be happening soon. This Wednesday after school is an informational meeting for anyone who is interested in auditioning.

• Jazz Band has many chairs open for the next year’s jazz band class. Sign-up is still open for anyone intrested.

• Applied Music courses are available for anyone who wants an extra period of band class to practice their instruments. The sign-up for this is still open.

LETTER JACKETS: Fittings will be on April 23rd during lunch. All band students need to fill out the Letter Jacket form to qualify for a letter jacket. If you are a senior, you automatically qualify. If you are an underclassmen, you must earn 50 total points to be awarded one. Please fill out the following form:
