AMB WEEKLY UPDATE 4/28/2025
Greetings Eagle Family! Better late than never, I always say. We started our classroom placement evaluations this week at the high school, and we will start our 8th grade evaluations next week. We had a jammed packed week last week, and we are slowly but surely reaching the finish line of wrapping up an absolutely amazing school year! Special thank you to the Booster parents who organized our annual AHS Band Banquet at Kingwood Country Club. It was a beautiful event, and it was fun celebrating with all of our amazing band students. (I got to jam too - that was fun!) I have some important items for everyone, so please make sure that you read everything below. IF YOU MISSED ORIENTATION: It’s okay! We have a make-up day available. Monday May 5th at 6PM or 7PM (you can choose the time), you can come by the AHS Band Hall and get your orientation packet for next year’s marching band. All students must come with your parents so that everyone can receive all of the same information. JAZZ BAND: You are not required to audition if you don’t want to, but if you’re interested in maybe playing saxophone trumpet or trombone as a secondary instrument in a jazz class, or you are just interested in playing jazz at all as a guitar, piano, or bass player, click the link below to sign up. https://forms.gle/nr2JZBQAGUdzX2kY6 APPLIED MUSIC: Interested in taking Applied Music next year? It is an extra individual project band class where you can take extra time to practice and get super good on your instrument. You can take it during any class 2nd through 7th period next year. We are performing our competition music this year that earned the jazz band awards at the Blinn College Jazz Festival and the Sam Houston State Bill Watrous Jazz Festival. Jazz band students, please arrive at the band hall by 6:45PM to warm up and set up. WIND SYMPHONY AT SHSU MAY 2: If you are in the 4th period band, you will be traveling to Sam Houston State University to perform for the Wind Band Festival. JAZZ BAND AT HUMBLE ISD FINE ARTS FESTIVAL MAY 3: Jazz band students will be performing at Lone Star Community College for this year’s Humble ISD Fine Arts Festival from 10AM to 10:30AM. AMB WEEKLY UPDATE 4/21/2025
Greetings Eagle Family! We have another busy week of band! But this week, all of the exciting stuff is happening. Our end of the year banquet is happening on Wednesday, and we have our annual band orientation meeting Thursday night! We are close to wrapping up a very successful band year, and delighted to bring in a new one! AMB ORIENTATION IS THIS THURSDAY. Starting at 7PM, this is for all band students and their parents, as we will be handing out all information for next year’s band program. All will be required to attend. If you are unable to make it, we will notify you of some other options after that. List of Events For the Month of April:

Greetings Eagle Family! Now that UIL is behind us, we are gearing up for all of the exciting new things that are happening in the Atascocita High School Band program. There are not much new updates from last week, except here are the list of things that are happening this month: List of Events For the Month of April:
For this week, the following items are still open. All students will need to attend registration and evaluate for classes. Leadership applications are still open, drum major informational meeting will be after school this Wednesday. There is still time to sign up for jazz band and applied music.
LETTER JACKETS: Fittings will be on April 23rd during lunch. All band students need to fill out the Letter Jacket form to qualify for a letter jacket. If you are a senior, you automatically qualify.
